But the time for a certain occasion had come during the period of Strickland’s serious illness ( the disease , which was caused by the street way of living, outside infections and the lack of normal food and living capabilities ). Dirk had saved his body and mind, took him to his home and helped him to cure for a long period, with help of his wife Blanche, with whom he was in a great love. After the killing the disease , the angel-patronage of Dirk was “awarded with a gold”. Charles Strickland , full of life and  fresh powers had some “relationships” with Dirk’s wife, Blanche  and she decided to leave his little Dutchman and go with Strickland  ( Dirk was absolutely stunned with “a bland of Blanche”.  But Charles couldn’t understand that, as he lived in his own world an the world of peoples’ emotions was far-far away from him, he was the man of love, but the love to art. After some time Blanche had committed a suicide. She actually loved Charles, but he couldn’t live with a woman, which wanted to be his personal supporter, friend and helper. As soon as he was ready to finish his work with her as a sitter, he went away from her. And Blanche couldn’t return back to her ex-husband Dirk, as she was paralyzed by the awkward words of Strickland ( that she was just a governess, pregnant by another man ).
